Classes

Classes will be available on regular basis. These classes will include, but not limited to, Boxing, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Cardio, Functional Fitness, High Intensity Interval Training(HIIT),Pilates/Boxing, Yoga, Stretching, MMA, Cardio Kickboxing, Zumba, Pilates, Pilates/Yoga, and Beachbody Workouts.

Most Group classes run $7 for Members and $10 for Guests

Descriptiion
A fine blend of functional fitness and boxing 101. This group class offers a nice twist of two fitness modalities which provide you with not only a total body workout but also guides you through basic and advanced self defense techniques in a fun *no contact setting! All skill and ability levels are welcome!

* Handwraps Required to Participate. There are handwraps available at the gym($7) but you are also welcome to bring your own! There are also a limited number of “gym gloves” to use or we can order you something specific.

No-Hit Class – You will not be contacted during this class. You will hit mitts but no one will hit you

Boxing 101

Boxing 101 is a 4 week course. This is a beginners based boxing workout with cardio and core components.
This course will be offered every:
Tuesday at 7pm
Wednesday at 10am

This is a No Hit course, meaning you will not be hit throughout the training. Boxing 101 will concentrate on the basic skill sets combined with various full body workouts to ensure a high calorie burning session!

This will help you hone in on building the foundation every great boxer has started with. That’s right, even those of you that have never boxed before will learn the art of boxing, self-defense, and gain more confidence than you thought possible while completing this course. So, if boxing is something that you have always wanted to try, we have you covered.Boxing 101 is an a 8 week course or weekly workout. This is a beginners based boxing workout with cardio and core components. This course will be offered every Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 10am, and Saturday at 2pm starting in January.

Boxing 102

Boxing 102 is a 4 week course.
*** Must complete Boxing 101 to participate. ***

This course will be offered every:
Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm.

This is a No Hit course, meaning you will not be hit throughout the training.

Boxing 102 will focus on intermediate skill sets, like Defense, Countering and Combinations.

Functional Fitness

Functional Fitness Class

The term functional fitness has been associated with boot camps, professional athletes and die­-hard workout nuts. The truth is, functional exercise is nothing to be intimidated by!

Functional fitness exercises are designed to prepare your body for daily tasks by replicating common movements you need to perform at optimum levels. In short, it allows anyone to train like an athlete and helps to prolong your ability to maintain fun, youthful activities!

Functional Fitness class is a hybrid of cross-­training, martial arts and yoga which utilizes constantly varying, multi-
joint movements to improve your fitness over a variety of domains: Strength, Speed, Stamina, Cardio, Balance, Agility, Accuracy, Flexibility, Coordination and Power!

Each class will consist of:

  • ­A comprehensive warm-­up to prepare the body and mind for an intense workout.
  • Skill development to help the athletes (Yes, anyone doing this training earns the title of athlete) to learn new functional movements and improve form.
  • A workout utilizing the skills learned and practiced by the group.
  • A relaxing cool-down

Athletes wanting to supplement the class with Functional Personal Training can bring their game to the next level with personalized workouts, nutritional coaching and more!

Kickboxing Cardio

$5 for Members or $10 for Non-members

This is a great one hour group class that involves cardio workouts, boxing and kickboxing technique. The focus is to get a full body workout using interval training which improves strength, balance, coordination, speed, and flexibility.
True kickboxing has been around for hundreds of years and is a brutal sport that requires amazing cardiovascular endurance and speed to win. This workout is recommended for those who want to be fit like a fighter, without competing in an actual fight. it does take the spirit and physical demands of kickboxing and channel it into a challenging and fun cardiovascular workout that will help you burn calories like a prize winning fighter.
We estimate that this cardio kickboxing workout burns between
10-15 calories per minute.

Boxing style hand wraps are required for this class. You can purchase them here for $7 or find them at your local sporting goods store.

About your Instructor:
Becca has been boxing for over 3 1/2 years, and competing for 1. She participates in every 5k around the area she can, and also enjoys doing yoga in her spare time.

Beginners Yoga

This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced than an all-levels class and focused on developing clear and SAFE alignment. Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. You dont need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try.
